32nd annual wine tasting fundraiser helps Miami Performing Arts Series

The Miami University Performing Arts Series will host its 32nd annual wine tasting fundraiser from 2 to 5 p.m. June 10 at the Oxford Community Arts Center.

The event will feature over 100 wines from around the world, light bites, a silent auction and the opportunity to purchase tastes of wines in the “Premium Pour” collection curated by wine expert and Oxford resident Jack Keegan.

Proceeds from the event will support the Performing Arts Series community outreach and education program, which provides masterclasses, artist residencies, and other educational opportunities to students and community members.

In the past, the performing arts series has used funds raised from the wine tasting fundraiser to support a variety of programs, including:

  • A masterclass with Mark Wood, an electric violinist known for his work with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, followed by a concert at Millett Hall on steel pans and strings
  • The Electric Roots Festival, a free “Arts and Culture Event for All Celebrating Black Joy and Radical Hospitality”

Tickets for the event are $75 and cannot be purchased at the door. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit the PAS website at www.miamioh.edu/cca/performing-arts-series/annual-wine-tasting/.
