It’s Halloween season, and Oxford will be hosting a bunch of events to help everyone celebrate with costumes, candy, fun and maybe a touch of spookiness.
Miami University is hosting a Safe Trick or Treat, sponsored by the Residence Hall Association, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in the Armstrong Student Center. The event is open to children of all ages and their families for trick-or-treating and other fun activities.
Books & Brews is hosting a Young Frankenstein Children’s Ball for all the kids to take part in from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Books & Brews, 107 E. Church St., Oxford. The event is free and will include costume contests, crafts and snacks.
The Goggin Ice Center will be hosting a Halloween Skate between 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Everyone is invited to wear their favorite costume, and admission is only $7.50 for skate rental.
O Pub, 10 W. Park Place, Oxford, will host a trivia contest with the theme of “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” Sunday, Oct. 27. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes for extra points and great photos. Prizes will be distributed along with candy and drink specials. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the trivia will start at 9 p.m.
The Oxford Bible Fellowship will be hosting their annual Trunk or Treat, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at 800 S. Maple St. There will be food, costumes and candy at this free community event.
Finally, Oxford has the Residential Trick or Treat. Everyone in Oxford will be able to trick or treat between 5.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
