The Oxford Community Arts Center Theater will screen the 2005 film “Pride and Prejudice” 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, in the arts center theater, 10 S. College Ave.

The screening is part of the “Friday Night Lights” film series hosted by the Center and is the second event in the series after “Chocolat,” Jan. 7.

The planned Feb. 4 screening of Baz Luhrmann’s “Strictly Ballroom” was canceled due to inclement weather and has since been rescheduled to April 1.

“Pride and Prejudice” is rated PG with a running time of two hours and nine minutes. Adapted from Jane Austen’s 1813 novel, the movie was directed by Joe Wright, whose film “Cyrano” will premier in theaters Feb. 25.

The “Pride and Prejudice” screening is open to all ages, and more information can be found at the Oxford Community Arts Center website. While admittance to the screening is free, popcorn and water will be available for purchase upon entry.
