The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) is holding an online public information session on the quality of the state’s water from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Anyone interested in participating in the session can register on the OEPA website. The session will be hosted to discuss findings in the draft of the agency’s 2022 Integrated Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment Report

OEPA’s Division of Surface Water will discuss the list of impaired lakes and waterways which are not meeting federal or state water quality goals

Attendees will be able to submit written questions about the presentation via the GoTo app after the draft report is reviewed by Ohio EPA staff.

The EPA is now accepting public comments on the draft. The comment can be submitted in two ways:

  • sending an email to [email protected], or
  • writing a letter to the Division of Surface Water at: P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, OH 43216-1049 Attn: 303(d) Comments, by 5 p.m. Feb. 28.

After reviewing the comments, the Ohio EPA will submit a final document to the United States Environmental Protection Agency for approval.
