Rosé is the pink compromise between red and white wines.

If you are in need of something to celebrate, consider that Saturday, June 12, is National Rosé Day, honoring the refreshing pink wine, perfect for a summer day.

According to the culinary website, Eater, rosé could be the oldest type of wine there is, dating back to 600 B.C. The holiday came to life in 2014 by “Bodvár of Sweden – House of Rosés – a Rosé House specializing in Rosé wines to raise awareness and give Rosé lovers a day to celebrate with ‘summer’s water,’”  according to nationaldaycalandar.com

To celebrate the day, Oxford has many local liquor stores to purchase your favorite brand. Or you can visit one of the many bars or restaurants that serve it. Either sit inside or relax on a patio while sipping the sweet wine.
