Krystal A. Tipton was selected as the new president and CEO of Butler County United Way, and she will assume the role Feb. 26.
Current president Margaret (Mag) Baker announced her plans to retire in November of 2020.
“Mag Baker is handing over a strong and seasoned staff who is passionate about our organization’s mission and vision,” Tipton said in a release announcing her position. “I am excited to build on the current momentum we have and to grow the impact Butler County United Way will have across Butler County.”
Tipton is the current senior vice president of community engagement for Butler County United Way, and has worked for the organization since 2013. Most recently, Tipton played a key role in developing the organization’s three-year strategic plan, collaborating with board members, community members, partner agency leaders and loyal donors.
Tipton has been an active leader on numerous boards and councils throughout her career, including Rotary Club of Hamilton, Butler County Head Start Policy Council and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation Learning Links Grand Review. She also received the 2019 YWCA Women of Achievement Award.
“I am honored to have earned the trust of the Board and to have been selected to lead this organization moving forward,” said Tipton.
