Christmas tree recycling in Oxford starts Dec. 21

The city of Oxford will recycle your life Christmas tree for you if you set it out on the curb on your regularly scheduled refuse collection day.

The Streets and Maintenance Division will pick the trees up for eventual shredding. No yard waste tags are required, but please make sure that ALL lights and ornaments have been removed before you set the tree out for disposal.

The service will begin Dec. 21 (just in case you still have last year’s tree hanging around). Evergreen wreaths and garlands should NOT be put out with the trees.  The last day for this pickup is Jan. 29, 2021. Questions about the program should be directed to the Streets and Maintenance Department at 523-8412.
