The Oxford Empty Bowls walk-up sale will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, outside the Oxford Community Arts Center.
Empty Bowls, a nationwide organization to benefit the hungry, usually has a benefit soup luncheon. But this year, for the Oxford chapter’s 18th anniversary, the luncheon has been canceled to abide by COVID-19 restrictions against mass gatherings.
Instead, the handmade bowls, usually auctioned off to luncheon patrons, will be sold outside the arts center along with various other pottery items, most priced around or below $10. Masks and social distancing will be required at the sale.
