Hometown Eatery closes while employees quarantine

Hometown Eatery, the West College Corner diner located at 700 Liberty Ave., temporarily closed after employees were exposed to COVID-19, according to an announcement on its Facebook page, Monday, Aug. 3.
The announcement said the restaurant plans to reopen as soon as its self-isolation period is complete and it’s safe for customers. It also announced that employees are currently healthy.
Hometown Eatery is usually open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch and carryout options. The diner is known for its Southern and soul food options.
