Lawrence Lessig, professor of Law and Leadership at Harvard Law School and New York Times bestselling author, will speak at 7 p.m. April 21 at the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center on the Hamilton campus. The League of Women Voters sponsors the lecture.
Lessig will speak on the difficulties of the U.S. Electoral College and how he feels the government needs to change to rebuild America’s democracy. A Q&A and book signing will follow.
Lessig has written 10 books, including “They Don’t Represent Us: And Here’s How They Could — A Blueprint for Reclaiming Our Democracy.” He also shaped principles of internet law and enabled the sharing of copyrighted material.
