The Oxford Community Arts Center will host November’s Second Friday Celebration of the Arts at 6 p.m. Nov. 8. The event is free and open to the public.
As always, the event will begin with a gallery reception in the first floor galleries. The gallery will feature art from eight MFA art students at Miami University: Hannah Bays, Bubly Barna, De-Graft Boateng, Emmanuel Bonsu, Fatemeh Shekarforoush, Noelle Hemrich, Kelley Booze and Ryan Kerr.
At 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom, musical guest Sirenz will take the stage. The group has four members: Vicky Shuller, Rene’ McKinstry, Deb Richardson and Robin Thomas.
According to the OCAC’s website, the group is known for its harmonious sound and unique blend of voices. Sirenz has performed around the Oxford area for nearly two decades and covers songs that span across a wide range of genres and time periods.
For the month of November, food and a bar will be located on the OCAC’s third floor.
