Get into the spirit of Halloween and learn about the people who built Oxford by participating in the Historic Walking Tour of The Oxford Cemetery. Oxford Parks and Recreation has partnered with Lane Libraries and the McGuffey Museum to host three separate walking tours, Oct. 12,19 and 26. All tours will begin at 11 a.m. and will last for 60 minutes.
The tours will highlight notable figures of the Oxford and Miami Communities who are buried in The Oxford Cemetery. This includes decorated veterans and members of Oxford’s founding families.
Participants are recommended to wear comfortable shoes. The tour will meet at the cemetery at 4385 Millville Oxford Road, but those registered must park at Peffer Park and walk from there.
This event is free of charge and open to anyone ages 6 and older and there is a maximum of 25 people per tour. Those interested can register here.
