Talawanda unveils new veteran honor wall as a part of its Veteran’s Day celebration.
On Nov. 9, Talawanda’s FCCLA chapter unveiled a veteran’s honor wall as a part of their annual Veteran’s Day breakfast and school-wide assembly. Every year, Talawanda holds a breakfast and assembly for Veteran’s Day, which will take place on Nov. 11.
The new wall honors Talawanda graduates who have served in all five branches of the armed forces along with first responders.
The tribute was funded through community donations, from members of the Talawanda community and a grant from the Oxford Community Foundation.
The City of Oxford will also hold a Veteran’s Day celebration at the uptown park on Nov. 11. at 11:00 a.m. where citizens can show their support for members of the armed forces.
