Oxford Police responded to 17 incidents between May 29 and June 4. The incidents included multiple intoxicated drivers and instances of domestic violence.

At 12:30 p.m. May 29, officers responded to a call about a suspect breaking the windows of a vehicle with a large rock on the 800 block of McGuffey Avenue.

At 3:20 p.m. May 31, Oxford police responded to a call of an intoxicated driver on the 400 block of Maxine Drive. The suspect had an open container in a stationary vehicle and had a previous OVI within the past 20 years.

During a traffic stop on College Corner Pike at 8:10 p.m. May 31, officers arrested an intoxicated driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The suspect was pulled over for an expired registration.

At 11:43 p.m. June 1, a suspect was arrested for trespassing on the back porch of a local resident’s house on the 100 block of West Spring Street. The suspect was known to trespass in the area before.

On June 6 at 7 p.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of College Corner Pike for a report of domestic violence. The suspect was found later that day and was charged with domestic violence, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
