Miami blood drive at Cook Field provides beach towels to donors

Miami University will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 6 at Cook Field, 140 S. Patterson Ave. 

Those who donate will receive a “Sunshine & Saving Lives” beach towel and be entered into a drawing for the 42nd annual Country Concert July 6 to 8 in Fort Loramie. 

According to the Community Blood Center, donors must present a photo ID with their full name, be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds or more, depending on height and be in good physical health. 

With parental consent, 16-year-olds may donate if they fit the requirements. Previous CBC members must bring a CBC donor ID card.
