Audubon seminar to educate on the importance of bees


Audubon Miami Valley will educate the public on the importance of bees in the local ecosystem from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, May 8 at Lebanon Citizens National Bank in Oxford.

The program is hosted by Justina Block, a local beekeeping advocate and owner of the Osmia Bee Company. Block has worked with several naturalization organizations and recently received a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture.

Attendees will learn about the diversity of bee species in Ohio and ways to encourage native bees to nest in their backyards. Lebanon Citizens National Bank is located at 30 W. Park Place.
