Local restaurants receive critical health violations

Several Oxford restaurants inspected by the Butler County General Health District since Sept. 20 were cited with critical health violations.
No critical violations were observed by the inspector during visits to: Yum Cha, 411 S. Locust St.; Red Ox Drive Thru, 95 E. Chestnut St.; Oxford Lanes, 4340 Oxford Reily Road.
Fridge and Pantry, 35 E. Church St., inspected Sept. 20, received one critical violation for improperly reheating food for hot holding.
On Sept. 20, Colony Food Mart Inc, 5284 College Corner Pike, received two critical violations for not storing packaged and unpackaged foods so they were protected from contamination, and for storing toxic materials above foods. The violations were corrected during the inspection.
On Sept. 23, Ramen Hachi, 17 W Church St., received six critical violations. The violations included: having no one in charge of the facility knowledgeable about health requirements, and not properly using the proper sanitizing solution in a dishwasher. Violations corrected during the inspection included a hand washing sink that was inaccessible and cold food being held at the wrong temperature.
