Miami University’s Hamilton campus will host a free workshop titled “ABCD 101: A Strengths-Based Approach to Change” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center.

The daylong workshop will focus “on the core principles and practices of Asset Based Community Development,” according to a press release. “Participants will learn how to put ABCD into action through the power of asset mapping, a fundamental tool that discovers the gifts of individuals, the power of networks and associations and local organizations that are then leveraged to create change.” ABCD will help participants “use asset mapping as a tool.” Breakfast and lunch will be provided to those who participate in ABCD.

The event is sponsored by the Miami Regionals Center for Social Impact.
